Ok so this might be the worst idea in the world, but I would just like to see if anyone would want to do this. The reason it might be a bad idea is because it might draw away from the Pokemon theme but I'm not really sure. I want to see what you guys think.
So Maybe on a certain night of the week (Or multiple days. Whatever is decided on if people like it) we could have an RPG Day. Now, instead of only being able to RP in the Pokemon World, maybe allow a person to pick what they want to RP. Now, there would have to be new rules for this, but I know how to get around this.
So lets say someone wanted to RP... let's say Harry Potter. That person would get a ref on RP Day and could RP with friends, or by themselves with just a ref. Obviously the rules would be different than from the pokemon rules handbook, but there are a few things you can do. First, the players themselves can create a rulebook and submit it to the refs. If the ref (or a staff member) verifies it, then it can become a permanent rule book so anyone who wants to do that RP in the future can do it using that rule book.
Another way is to find an already created rule book. I was curious if there was one for Harry Potter so I did a bit of researching and found this. docs.google.com/file/d/0B_QEws739Q9Ba01fZVhNd1Z5WW8/edit It seems to be the best one out there. So you would just create a character like you normally would, except in accordance to the new rules.
This would be a continuous thing like it is now so your character would leave off where they last were. This would allow you to RP different things. You can also do this with friends so you could journey through Hogwarts together, or go through dangerous dungeons, or be pirates, or whatever. Or you can go solo if you wanna be anti-social.
This would really keep the RPing here fresh, allowing the members to RP different things if they choose to. The reason I suggested it be only on one or two days of the week is so it doesn't take away from the Pokemon focus. I don't know if anyone else likes this idea but I thought it was at least worth a shot to post. So tell me what you think in the comments!
